“Health insurance firm breached again”
Over 18,000 Anthem health insurance customers have had their records emailed to the private email address of a staffer at a third-party vendor. Insurance coordination firm LaunchPoint Ventures realized that one of its own employees was involved in the identity theft in April, which Anthem has claimed in their latest release on the incident. In May, LaunchPoint had also intentionally misued another companys data before sending the Anthem records to himself.

A recent keynote demonstration at the DEF CON hacking convention by Hyrum Anderson, technical director of data science at security firm Endgame, showcased research that the company has completed in constructing Elon Musk’s OpenAI framework to the task of creating malware many security engines won’t pickup.
