In March 2016, Jumio, a leading identify verification company, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after top executives were accused of embezzling funds. The following months were plagued with negative media attention and credibility concerns. Jumio onboarded a new CEO that was tasked with mending the company’s reputation while expanding market share and driving innovation for its identity verification offering. 10Fold Communications was retained shortly after the new team was put in place to announce new funding and maintain a steady cadence of ongoing PR activity to raise Jumio’s profile in the media, build credibility and help Jumio capitalize on the growing identity-as-a-service market.
