“In the Fold” – Heather Oest

What is something you have learned this past year at 10Fold that has aided your success?

Something I’ve learned in the past year that has really aided my success here at 10Fold is to say yes to more and be willing to take on new things, even if I’m nervous or not fully sure how to tackle them. Going outside of my comfort zone is so important and I’m lucky enough to have great team members that support me!

What do you hope to learn in the next year?

In the next year, I hope to improve my solutions-based critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Not only identifying an issue or something that needs improvement, but also thinking ahead to those next steps and how to solve the problem, is extremely important in PR and helps processes run more efficiently.

What was your favorite team activity in the last year?

My favorite team activities have definitely been happy hours with my San Diego team! Almost all of us are right around the same age and it has been so fun getting to know each other outside of work.

What was your favorite accomplishment you had with a client over the last year?

My most valuable and favorite accomplishment to-date at 10Fold has been landing three tier-1 byline opportunities for a new client with not only my first proactive pitch I had gone out with, but also the account’s first proactive outreach effort. My team was so proud of me, and the client was so impressed!
